Desire
Sat, 2009-07-04 19:11 | Young Kim
What I had wished for
And what my mind desired
Couldn’t be made flesh,
So, I dissipate to meet her
On her own ground.
Images of beauty and light
Are veiled by a gray twilight
Forming quickly in my mind
And my flesh decays to meet
My dream on her own ground.
Sirens and angels, cherubim afloat,
A vulture comes for my head
And tears my eyes from it,
While my body decomposes to meet
My dream in her land.
Transparency and sheer fabric
The world has gone from me,
I stretch it to its limit
While my being disappears
To meet my dream.
