When You Were Born

When you were born, heaven lost an angel,
And the stars fell like rain from above.
Lucifer cried in vain, and Gabriel blew his horn
As you sprouted forth and were beautifully born.

When you came from above to tellurian delights,
All the eagles flew and perched on the trees,
with leaves that gently caressed your hands and feet,
and your feet crushing my feeble knees.

Your gaze locked me and wide-eyed,
I watched myself lose a part of me.
Slithering down upon the loose soil
I gave in to my gentle turmoil.

As heaven lost an angel, you were born,
And mighty Lucifer flung himself down,
Down to this earthly plain for you,
Landing on my head, and gently crushing my brain.

And so you were born, with that heavenly host of hordes,
Chasing after you and stomping on my poor head…

The End.
